The Dr.Soil’s Substrate for Carnivorous Plants will assure the integrity of all plants belonging to the Sarraceniaceae, Nepenthaceae, Cephalotaceae and Eriocaulaceae plant families. This recipe is created respecting this particular plant’s type of nutricious needs, stimulating the mature plants to develop new buds and traps

• this particular formula is sufficiently aerated, in order to facilitate the gases exchanges with the atmosphere, due to the granulation of the pine bark. This aeration eases the respiration of the roots and helps better assimilate CO2 and furthermore, the feeding process.

• the premium mediterranean pine bark humus used in this composition also eases the drainage and prevents the development of molds and other pathologies that may appear because of the excess water that can remain inside the container, absorbed by the dense growing media. This natural element helps keeping the integrity of the roots and prolongues the life of the plant.
• the big amount of biohumus along with other natural ingredients that compose this Carnivorous Plant Substrate gives a nutricious boost to the plant, strenghtening the entire plant, regenerating any damaged vegetal elements and stimulating florishing and the developing of new buds and traps.

✗ Composition:

Premium pine bark in a proper granulation

Powdered Dry Biohumus

Green waste compost

Finely grated white peat
Organic matter

✗ Better used for: Carnivorous Plants (Dionaea, Sarracenia, Nepenthes, Drosera, Pinguicula, Darlingtonia, Cephalotus, Drosophillum etc

✗ Storage conditions:

Keep in dry and ventilated areas.

Keep out of reach of children.

How to use:

1. Choose a suitable pot and place a few pebbles at the base to ensure proper drainage of the water.
2. Then pour a layer of substrate and prepare a hole to place the new plant.
3. Carefully remove the cactus or succulent plant from the old pot and gently clean the old substrate from the roots.
4. Place the plant in the new pot, cover the roots with the substrate and press lightly and evenly around the plant. Then water the plant slowly and moderately.

Repeat watering in 7 days. If necessary, add another layer of substrate. Allow the substrate to settle naturally in the pots and the roots to adapt to the new environment. After 7 days, watering resumes normally. No fertilisation is required for a period of 6 months.
