Substrate for

Bonsai

in 1L bags

The Dr.Soil’s Substrate for Bonsai is a growing media that covers the nutricious needs of Bonsai and other plants resulted from pruning or any other cutting techniques, grown in small shallow containers for esthetic purposes, easing the maintenance and prolonging the life of the plant, without complementary nutrient adjustments. It facilitates the gas exchange with the atmosphere, good drainage and a 6 months nutricious treatment that actively contributes to the plant integrity and health.

• the mixture is sufficiently aerated, with a thin texture that allows the roots to breathe and stimulates a correct feeding process. The mixture allows a clean, easy transplanting, opening perspectives also for beginners.

• the pine bark humus used in this composition also eases the drainage and revents the development of molds and other pathologies that may appear because of the excess water that can remain inside the container, absorbed by the dense growing media. This natural element helps keeping the integrity of the roots and prolongs the life of the plant.

• the nutricious need is covered by a good amount of biohumus that covers the need of fertilisation for up to 6 months, which is making the plant more vigorous, it regenerates all the damaged vegetal tissues and it stimulates the mature plant to generate new buds, twigs and branches.

How to use:

1. Choose a suitable pot and place a few pebbles at the base to ensure proper drainage of the water.

2. Then pour a layer of substrate and prepare a hole to place the new plant.

3. Carefully remove the cactus or succulent plant from the old pot and gently clean the old substrate from the roots.

4. Place the plant in the new pot, cover the roots with the substrate and press lightly and evenly around the plant. Then water the plant slowly and moderately.

Repeat watering in 7 days. If necessary, add another layer of substrate. Allow the substrate to settle naturally in the pots and the roots to adapt to the new environment. After 7 days, watering resumes normally. No fertilisation is required for a period of 6 months.
